How we handle your information.

Who we are

Conygar Consulting is a UK-based strategic technology advisory practice, registered in England & Wales (company no. 16995180), with its registered office at 2nd Floor College House, 17 King Edwards Road, Ruislip, London, HA4 7AE. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Conygar Consulting is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

We collect personal information in two situations:

  • When you contact us — through our contact form or by email: your name and email address, your organisation if you provide it, and the content of your message.
  • Through analytics, and only with your consent — anonymised information about how you use the site, collected by Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics. See Cookies and analytics below.

Why we use it

We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, discuss potential work, and manage any subsequent client relationship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest — responding to people who contact a professional services practice — and, where an engagement follows, the performance of a contract. The lawful basis for analytics is your consent.

Cookies and analytics

With your consent, we use two analytics services to understand how visitors use this website: Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics.

  • Microsoft Clarity — a behavioural analytics service from Microsoft. Using cookies and similar technologies, it records how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, and navigation patterns — and can produce aggregated session replays and heatmaps. Clarity is configured to mask text and sensitive input by default.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — a web analytics service from Google. It uses cookies to measure traffic and aggregate usage, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and broad location and device information.

Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them. On your first visit you are asked to accept or reject analytics; if you reject, neither service runs. We use one essential cookie to remember your choice — this is always active and does not require consent. You can change your decision at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.

Where you consent to analytics, the data collected is processed by Microsoft and by Google under their respective privacy terms. Both may process this data outside the UK, under their own data protection safeguards.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing. Messages sent through our contact form are processed within our own cloud infrastructure, hosted on Amazon Web Services, and delivered to us by email; Amazon acts as our hosting provider under its data protection terms. Your information is otherwise held in the business systems we use to operate the practice (email, document storage, and client relationship records), each provided by established suppliers under their own data protection terms. Where you consent to analytics, usage data is processed by Microsoft and Google as described under Cookies and analytics.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to a current or potential engagement. Records relating to completed client work are retained for up to six years, in line with standard professional and legal record-keeping periods, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
